WHO
WE ARE
Halyards is building a portfolio of transformative social enterprises united by a shared vision to foster widespread personal, organizational, and social development. Our work is grounded in applied positive and humanistic social science research on human motivation, potential, meaning, and wellbeing. Inspired by The Sailboat Metaphor, our name symbolizes the act of “raising our sails” in pursuit of growth. (A “halyard” is the main rope used to hoist the sail of a sailboat.) Each of our social enterprise projects is designed to lower barriers to “choosing growth” in the everyday lives of our customers and the individuals, organizations, and communities with whom they interact.
